45L 50L and 60L Binclips fitting
Below are the fitting instructions for your 45 and 50L Brabantia bin lid clip. It's not rocket science, but it's worth taking a little time and care to get it stuck on tight in the right position.
1. Clean the bin lid in the area of the catch with hot soapy water and dry thoroughly.
2. Carefully remove any remains of the original clip with a sharp knife to leave a clean flat surface as shown.
3. Take the new clip and slide it into position FROM THE SIDE as shown in pics below. ***DO NOT FORCE THE CLIP***. If the clip is a little tight when you slide it towards its final position just shave off more of the old pin remains. When finally positioned, the clip is locked in place by the geometry of the lip and the internal shape of the clip.
4. Check bin lid closes and locks down in position.
5. Remove clip and add a couple of spots of glue (preferably from a hot glue gun) to the bin lid at the location where the clip will be fixed. With the 45L and 50L Brabantia bin lid clip, glue is not essential but worth it for extra secure fitting.
6. Slide the clip back into position, check the operation – that's it - Job done!
